14.10.5 Boundary Analysis
Based on previous structural studies, two principal fault sets are recognized to overprint the northwest-southeast-trending mineralized corridor. Northeast-striking (approximately 020°–200°) faults are interpreted to have controlled Au enrichment and a subsequent Zn mineralizing event, whereas younger east-northeast-striking (approximately 070°–250°) faults are associated with Ag-Pb mineralization cross-cut the earlier structural framework.
Based on this, SRK decided to apply soft boundaries to 16 domains in the southern area and 10 domains in the northern area. For the selected domains, a soft-boundary search distance of 30 m × 30 m × 10 m was applied along the major, semi-major and minor axes for all search passes (Table 14‑6), which allows for any close spaced drilling to influence the block estimates in this region. These domains correspond to cross-cutting vein sets that have similar orientations to these two later fault sets. Where drillhole spacing is sufficient, SRK also observed elevated metal grades associated with these intersecting structures, indicating continuity of mineralization across the domain boundaries and supporting the use of soft boundaries for grade estimation.
Hard boundaries were applied between all remaining mineralized domains and between mineralization and waste, where the boundary analysis indicated distinct grade populations. A comparable structural relationship is described in Section 7 and 9.6.
