EX-99.1 · 11.7 Sampling

11.7 Sampling

Following geological logging, drill core was marked for sampling by Company geologists. Sample intervals were selected to honour geological contacts, lithological boundaries and mineralization, with a nominal sample length of approximately 1.0 m. Sample lengths generally ranged between 0.5 m and 1.2 m depending on the geological characteristics encountered.

During the SRK site visit, the Company advised that sample intervals are generated within dedicated sampling spreadsheets external to the geological logging database. Each sample is assigned a unique sample identification number, together with a corresponding Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) code and QR code to maintain sample traceability throughout the analytical process, the sample information is entered directly into the GeoticLog database.

During the SRK site visit, the QP observed that, following core cutting, samples were placed into heavy-duty plastic sample bags. In addition to the sample ticket and QR code, the Sample ID was also handwritten on the exterior of each sample bag, providing a secondary means of sample identification should the QR label become damaged, detached or unreadable (Figure 11‑6 and Figure 11‑7).

RC samples were collected at nominal 1 m intervals directly from the cyclone. The cyclone discharged into a splitter, which produced three sample streams simultaneously: (i) a representative sample submitted for laboratory analysis, (ii) a duplicate sample collected at a nominal frequency of one in every 25 routine samples, and (iii) the remaining bulk reject, which was collected in large bags and retained at the drill site. All routine samples were weighed at the drill rig by an Aya technician using a calibrated hanging scale prior to dispatch (average weight of 4.7 kg). Representative samples were subsequently submitted for geological logging, sample preparation and laboratory analysis in accordance with the Company's sampling procedures.

No detailed documentation describing the sampling procedures adopted during the historical BRPM drilling programs was available for review by SRK. Consequently, the sampling methodology described below relates to the modern Maya and Aya exploration programs.
