On December 11, 2025, Xenetic Biosciences, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its 2025 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the “Annual Meeting”) that convened on December 11, 2025 has been adjourned until January 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time in order to achieve a quorum and allow additional time to solicit additional proxies on behalf of the Company’s board of directors. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 of this Current Report on Form 8-K.
