EX-99.1 · Share Buyback Program

Share Buyback Program

During the third quarter 2026, the Company repurchased and cancelled approximately 7.6 million shares for approximately $134.7 million at an average price of $17.58 per share through its share buyback program under a normal course issuer bid (“NCIB”) that was approved by the Company’s Board of Directors and the TSX. Year to date, the Company repurchased and cancelled approximately 29.1 million shares for approximately $542.6 million at an average price of $18.63 per share. Total repurchases since inception in December 2025 up to September 30, 2026, are approximately 32.1 million shares for approximately $592.6 million at an average price of $18.47 per share.

The NCIB allows for the purchase of up to 57 million of its common shares over a twelve-month period, representing approximately 9.92% of IAMGOLD's public float as at November 30, 2025, through the facilities of the TSX, the NYSE, or any other eligible Canadian alternative trading system on which the common shares are listed. The existing NCIB is approved to continue through December 11, 2026.

Subsequent to quarter end, the Company’s Board of Directors authorized the Company to seek TSX approval for a new NCIB for a further 12 months period. Subject to TSX approval, the new NCIB would permit the Company to purchase up to approximately 10% of IAMGOLD’s outstanding common shares. The Company intends to file a notice of intention with the TSX setting out the terms of the proposed NCIB.

All common shares purchased under the NCIB will be either cancelled or placed under trust to satisfy future obligations under the Company’s share incentive plan. This initiative reflects management’s confidence in the Company’s long-term value and its commitment to disciplined capital allocation. The program is expected to continue to be funded from operating cash flows.

The Company has established an automatic share purchase plan in connection with its NCIB to facilitate the purchase of common shares during times when IAMGOLD would ordinarily not be permitted to purchase common shares due to regulatory restrictions or self-imposed black-out periods. Before entering a black-out period, IAMGOLD may, but is not required to, instruct the broker to make purchases under the NCIB based on parameters set by IAMGOLD in accordance with the automatic share purchase plan, applicable securities laws and stock exchange rules. The actual number of common shares that may be purchased, if any, and the timing of such purchases, will be determined by the Company based on a number of factors, including the Company’s financial performance, the availability of cash flows, and the consideration of other uses of cash, including capital investment opportunities, returns to shareholders, and debt reduction. No ASPP was in effect at the end of the third quarter 2026.
