Our balance sheet was well positioned at September 30, 2026. In comparison to December 31, 2025:

Total assets increased reflecting higher loans and securities balances, including the impact of the FirstBank acquisition, partially offset by lower balances held with the FRB.

Total liabilities increased primarily due to higher deposits as well as higher borrowed funds, including the impact of the acquisition of FirstBank.

Total equity increased primarily due to the benefit of net income and stock issuances related to the FirstBank acquisition, partially offset by lower AOCI, dividends paid and common share repurchases.

The following discussion provides additional information about the major components of our balance sheet. Information regarding our capital and regulatory compliance is included in the Liquidity and Capital Management portion of the Risk Management section in this Financial Review and the Recent Regulatory Developments section in this Financial Review and in our prior period 2026 Form 10-Qs. Additional information can be found in the Supervision and Regulation section and Note 19 Regulatory Matters of our 2025 Form 10-K.
