Current report

The global macroeconomic environment is improving though a high degree of geopolitical uncertainty remains. During the first half of the year, headwinds for activity in our Financial Advisory business have tapered and deal financinghas become more readily available. At the same time, the fundamental drivers of deal activity have continued including innovations driven by technology and generative AI, the energy transition, the biotech revolution, and shifts in supply chains globally. For the first half of the year, the “higher for longer” rate environment led to reduced allocations into most active equity strategies by reinforcing the appeal of money market investments and fixed income products.
