Current report
For the three months ended March 31, 2026, the NYSE Arca market value of each Share decreased from $18.25 per Share to $18.02 per Share. The Share price low and high for the three months ended March 31, 2026 and related change from the Share price on December 31, 2025 was as follows: Shares traded at a low of $17.89 per Share (-1.97%) on March 30, 2026, and a high of $18.73 per Share (+2.63%) on January 27, 2026. The total return for the Fund on a market value basis was -1.26%.
Current report
The U.S. dollar strengthened modestly in the first quarter of 2026, resulting in negative performance for the Fund. Heightened geopolitical uncertainty stemming from escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, including the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, raised concerns around energy supply disruptions and renewed inflationary pressures. These risks contributed to fears of energy shocks, food price inflation, and broader ripple effects across the global economy, prompting markets to push out expectations for Federal Reserve rate cuts. Demand for the U.S. dollar was supported by safe‑haven flows, defensive positioning, and a preference for liquidity amid uncertain global growth and financial conditions. While intermittent improvements in risk sentiment led to brief pullbacks, risk-off dynamics ultimately supported the U.S. dollar over the quarter, weighing on the Fund's bearish exposure.
Current report
The U.S. dollar moved lower in the first quarter of 2025 leading to strong gains for the Fund. This marked a sharp reversal from the strong rally to end 2024, when the incoming U.S. administration's tariff policy was expected to have a disproportionate adverse effect on the currency of the United States' trading partners, in turn boosting the U.S. dollar. Inflation predictions also led the markets to re-evaluate the Federal Reserve’s easing plans, with the potential to leave interest rates higher for longer. However, those factors are now hurting the U.S. dollar; tariffs and stagflation fears have upended market confidence in the U.S., while the Federal Reserve may still reduce interest rates by 0.50% in 2025 (lower interest rates reduce demand for the U.S. dollar). In contrast, the euro and other European currencies are being propped up by major defense and infrastructure spending plans, and the outlook looks brighter for the Japanese yen, with the Bank of Japan in a rate hiking cycle as the rest of the world’s major economies pulled back.

Previous report
The Fund offers common units of beneficial interest (the “Shares”) only to certain eligible financial institutions (the “Authorized Participants”) in one or more blocks of 50,000 Shares (“Creation Units”). The Fund commenced investment operations on February 15, 2007. The Fund commenced trading on the American Stock Exchange (which became the NYSE Alternext US LLC) on February 20, 2007 and, since November 25, 2008, has been listed on the NYSE Arca, Inc. (the “NYSE Arca”).
Previous report
For the three months ended September 30, 2025, the NYSE Arca market value of each Share decreased from $18.92 per Share to $18.81 per Share. The Share price low and high for the three months ended September 30, 2025 and related change from the Share price on June 30, 2025 was as follows: Shares traded at a low of $18.31 per Share (-3.22%) on July 31, 2025, and a high of $19.02 per Share (+0.53%) on September 16, 2025. The total return for the Fund on a market value basis was -0.58%.
Previous report
The Fund delivered a loss in the third quarter of 2025 with the U.S. dollar ending higher. Despite the downtrend in the first half of the year, U.S. dollar rebounded, benefitting from positive economic data which brought central bank policy divergence into focus. Trade agreements also provided some relief as gyrating tariffs heavily pressured investor sentiment on the US economy. However, resurging concerns around the Federal Reserve’s credibility, weaker labor market data, the Federal Reserve’s tilt to dovishness, and September’s rate cut all led to the dollar paring some of these gains. The growth of U.S. dollar debasement trades was also a headwind to Fund performance.
Previous report
For the three months ended September 30, 2024, the NYSE Arca market value of each Share increased from $17.90 per Share to $18.93 per Share. The Share price low and high for the three months ended September 30, 2024 and related change from the Share price on June 30, 2024 was as follows: Shares traded at a low of $17.90 per Share (0.00%) on July 01, 2024, and a high of $19.01 per Share (+6.23%) on September 27, 2024. The total return for the Fund on a market value basis was +5.75%.
Previous report
The U.S. dollar was heavily pressured in the third quarter of 2024, leading to gains for the Fund. In addition to the highly anticipated Federal Reserve easing cycle which officially kicked off in September – the central bank announced a larger-than-expected interest rate cut of 0.50% – the Bank of Japan also surprised the market with a rate hike in August. Higher interest rates generally boost a country’s currency and vice versa; in this case, the events boosted the Japanese yen and pressured the U.S. dollar.
Previous report
Net income (loss) for the September 30, 2025 was $(0.7) million, primarily resulting from $1.6 million of income, net realized gain (loss) of $0.6 million, net change in unrealized gain (loss) of ($2.6) million and net operating expenses of $0.3 million.
Previous report
For the three months ended September 30, 2024, the NAV of each Share increased from $17.90 per Share to $18.92 per Share. Rising currency futures contracts prices for short DX Contracts during the September 30, 2024 contributed to a 4.51% increase in the level of the Index and to a 5.89% increase in the level of the Short Index–TRTM. The total return for the Fund on a NAV basis was +5.70%.

Fund Share Price Performance
Previous report
The Fund experienced a gain in the first three quarters of 2025 as the U.S. dollar moved sharply lower. The U.S. dollar downtrend theme has been persistent due to the Federal Reserve’s plans to deliver rate cuts, waning confidence in the U.S. economy due to tariffs and stagflation concerns, softening economic data, and concerns about the Federal Reserve's credibility adding momentum to the U.S. dollar debasement trade. Despite some bounces and a rebound in the third quarter, the U.S. dollar continued its broader downtrend on these structural performance headwinds.
Previous report
For nine months ended September 30, 2024, the NYSE Arca market value of each Share increased from $18.43 per Share to $18.93 per Share. The Share price low and high for the nine months ended September 30, 2024 and related change from the Share price on December 31, 2023 was as follows: Shares traded at a low of $17.67 per Share (-4.10%) on April 16, 2024, and a high of $19.01 per Share (+3.18%) on September 27, 2024. The total return for the Fund on a market value basis was +2.71%.
Previous report
The U.S. dollar performed positively in the first three quarters of 2024. While the dollar had fallen to end 2023 on expectations for imminent interest rate cuts, the Federal Reserve stuck to its higher-for-longer rhetoric through the first two quarters of the year as U.S. inflation proved stickier than expected. This forced the market to repeatedly delay Federal Reserve easing expectations at the same time that many global economies including Switzerland, Sweden, Canada, and the European Central Bank (ECB) kicked off their rate-cutting cycles. However, the greenback moved lower in the third quarter with the Federal Reserve joining the others, announcing its first interest rate cut in September. Furthermore, the Bank of Japan surprised the market with a rate hike in August, sending the Japanese yen higher.

When the Fund enters into futures contracts, the Fund is exposed to credit risk that the counterparty to the contract will not meet its obligations. The counterparty for futures contracts traded on United States and on most foreign futures exchanges is the clearing house associated with the particular exchange. In general, clearing houses are backed by their corporate members who may be required to share in the financial burden resulting from the nonperformance by one of their members and, as such, is designed to disperse and mitigate the credit risk posed by any member. In cases where the clearing house is not backed by the clearing members (i.e., some foreign exchanges), it may be backed by a consortium of banks or other financial institutions. There can be no assurance that any counterparty, clearing member or clearinghouse will meet its obligations to the Fund.
