Lineage Cell Therapeutics Inc

Lineage is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing novel allogeneic, or “off-the-shelf,” treatments comprised of functional cells delivered to the human body to address unmet medical needs. Our strategy is to develop biological therapies derived from the directed differentiation of pluripotent stem cells to become specific cell types, or combinations of cell types, and use those differentiated cells as treatments to restore diseased or diminished functions or to increase immune response to tumors or infectious agents. Lineage believes it has a responsibility to serve, support, and be transparent with its stakeholders, and is committed to effectively managing corporate responsibility and sustainability issues.

Our Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee provides oversight of our practices and reporting with respect to sustainability matters. In 2022, we established a task force, made up of key executives and cross-functional subject matter experts across our company to focus on corporate responsibility and sustainability matters. Our Board and its committees, working with the task force, provides strategic direction for our sustainability efforts and approves and oversees the selection and implementation of material sustainability initiatives. In 2022 we published a Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Corporate Sustainability Report, providing an overview of our sustainability programs and reporting on certain key metrics under the SASB framework. In 2023, we continued to engage with our internal and external stakeholders to help further inform our future direction and priorities. The three areas of focus for our sustainability program and strategy are (1) environmental impact, (2) stakeholders, and (3) corporate governance. Lineage is focused not just on advancing its sustainability efforts, but also on increasing transparency and communications concerning those efforts.
