(a non-GAAP financial measure) excludes $5.0 million and $13.0 million of expense related to a regulatory settlement that was recognized during the fourth quarter of 2023 and year-ended December 31, 2023, respectively. Refer to the schedule on page 8 for additional explanation of non-GAAP financial measures and a reconciliation of adjusted net income and earnings per share to U.S. GAAP.
