Our Progress
As the state’s largest energy provider, we embrace our foundational role in transitioning California to a decarbonized and more climate-resilient economy. Today, about one in eight electric vehicles in the nation plugs into PG&E’s grid and we are actively helping customers adopt clean energy products through tools, resources, and programs. We are also partnering with a broad spectrum of stakeholders to create a pathway to a more equitable and affordable energy future.
| Continued to supply clean energy to customers | Implemented contracts for more than 4.9 GW of battery energy storage capacity, strengthening California’s grid efficiency and reliability | Brought the total number of interconnected private solar customers to more than 950,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Helped enable the total number of electric vehicles operating in our service area to exceed 820,000 | Met the CPUC-mandated methane emission reduction target ahead of schedule | Helped customers reduce emissions and energy costs through robust energy efficiency programs |
We continue to do this work transparently, reporting progress on our climate goals in our annual Corporate Sustainability Report and in our responses to the CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) and related organizations.
