Cheryl R. Blanchard, Ph.D.

April 28, 2025 Dear Fellow Anika Stockholder,2024 was a significant year for Anika in which we made meaningful progress on our strategic realignment, optimizing our product portfolio, and driving growth in our core areas resulting in substantial advancements and strong financial performance. In line with our strategic focus of leveraging our expertise in hyaluronic acid (HA) in our osteoarthritis (OA) Pain Management and Regenerative Solutions businesses, we

divested our Arthrosurface business in Q4 2024, and our Parcus Medical business in Q1 2025. These divestitures enable us to concentrate on our highest returning programs which offer the greatest opportunities to drive and maximize stockholder value.

Our leading HA-based OA Pain Management products, Monovisc, Orthovisc, and Cingal, continued to perform well, with strong international growth driven by Monovisc and Cingal. We are excited about the potential of Cingal to address the needs of millions of patients suffering with OA pain in the U.S. in the future. The Integrity Implant System, our regenerative HA-based scaffold for rotator cuff and other tendon repairs, saw impressive growth with over 1,000 surgeries performed globally since its initial limited market launch in Q4 2023. Integrity captured more than 1% of the U.S. soft tissue augmentation market in 2024 after full market release in the middle of the year.

We also achieved key regulatory and clinical milestones last year, including filing the first module of our Hyalofast Premarket Approval (PMA) application and having productive interactions with the FDA regarding Cingal. Since the end of the year, we have filed the second module of the Hyalofast PMA, remaining on track for an anticipated U.S. launch in 2026, and we held a Type C meeting with the FDA to further define our regulatory pathway for Cingal. These activities position us well for future growth and market expansion.

Finally, we strengthened our leadership team and our Board of Directors with the appointment of Stephen Griffin as Executive Vice President and CFO in June 2024, and his more recent appointment as Executive Vice President, CFO and COO, and the addition of Joseph Capper and William Jellison to our Board. Our commitment to active Board refreshment ensures we have the expertise needed to drive our next chapter of growth.

As we move forward, we remain focused on our core strengths in early intervention orthopedics and regenerative solutions driven by our proprietary HA technology. In the near-term, we will continue to focus on delivering market leading OA Pain Management products and realizing the full potential of the Integrity Implant System. Over the mid-term, we look forward to achieving FDA approval for Hyalofast in the U.S. and successfully launching the product through our Commercial Channel to address the more than $1 billion U.S. cartilage repair market opportunity. Longer term, we are excited about working to achieve FDA approval and the U.S. launch of Cingal into the more than $1 billion next generation OA pain management market. We are confident in our ability to advance these strategic initiatives, deliver value to our stockholders, and help restore active living for patients around the world.

On behalf of the Board and management team, we thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Cheryl R. Blanchard, Ph.D.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dear Fellow Stockholder:

It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the Annual Meeting of Stockholders of Anika Therapeutics, Inc. (“Anika” or “Company”) to be held on June 20, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., Eastern time (“Annual Meeting”). This year’s Annual Meeting will be a “virtual meeting” conducted via live audio webcast, consistent with our recent practice. Each holder of common stock as of 5:00 p.m., Eastern time, on the record date of April 21, 2025, will be able to participate in the Annual Meeting by accessing a live webcast at www.virtualshareholdermeeting.com/ANIK2025 and entering the control number included on the holder’s Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials or proxy card. Stockholders will also be able to vote their shares and submit questions via the internet during the meeting by participating in the webcast.

During the Annual Meeting stockholders will be asked to elect three Class II Directors, to ratify the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as our independent auditor for 2025, to approve, by an advisory vote, our 2024 executive compensation as disclosed in the Proxy Statement for the Annual Meeting (a “say-on-pay” vote), and to approve an amendment to our 2017 Omnibus Incentive Plan. Each of these matters is important, and we urge you to vote in favor of the election of each of the Company’s director nominees, the ratification of the appointment of our independent auditor, the approval, on an advisory basis, of our 2024 executive compensation, and the amendment of our 2017 Omnibus Incentive Plan.

We are furnishing materials to our stockholders over the internet. This process expedites the delivery of proxy materials to our stockholders, lowers our costs, and reduces the environmental impact of the Annual Meeting. Today, we are sending to each of our stockholders of record as of April 21, 2025, a Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials containing instructions on how to access our Proxy Statement for the Annual Meeting and our 2024 Annual Report to Stockholders, containing financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024, as well as instructions on how to vote via proxy either by telephone, over the internet or by mail.

It is important that you vote your shares of common stock virtually or by proxy, regardless of the number of shares you own. You will find instructions for voting on your Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials and proxy card. We appreciate your prompt attention.

The Board of Directors invites you to participate in the Annual Meeting where Anika will address appropriate general questions about the business as time allows. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to joining you at the Annual Meeting.

Sincerely,

John B. Henneman, III

Chair of the Board
